Yavapai-Apache Nation looks to develop vineyard

Grant award to fund analysis, feasibility study and business plan to grow grapes on YAN land

Buddy Rocha, Jr., the Yavapai-Apache Nation's economic development director, and Robert Mills, the Nation's grant writer, both confirmed a grant award of $57,000 from the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Business Development office (USDA) to fund a market analysis, feasibility study and a business plan to develop a vineyard on the Nation's land near the Clover Leaf Ranch.
