Photo Gallery: 2015 Memorial Day remembrance by A.L. Post 93

American Legion Post 93 Rifle Squad participates in the legion's annual Memorial Day remembrance at Clear Creek Cemetery in Camp Verde. Once known as Decoration Day, Memorial Day is set aside each year as a National holiday to remember all who died while serving in U.S. armed forces. The origin of Memorial Day began in 1862 when President Abraham Lincoln signed legislation establishing national veterans' cemeteries. The National Holiday Act established Memorial Day on the last Monday in May. VVN photo by Bill Helm
