Gallery: Beaver Creek Wellness Fair

Spring into Health, the Beaver Creek Community Wellness Fair, was held on Saturday, April 12, at the Beaver Creek School in Rimrock. Participants included Arizona Highway Patrol Officer S.L. Mork, who brought along a rotating car body to demonstrate how easy it is to be ejected during a roll over when not wearing a seatbelt, and firefighters from the Montezuma-Rimrock Fire District, who gave free blood pressure and heat rate checks with an all-in-one-monitor. Events included a bike rodeo for children, with free helmets and child safety seat inspections. NAU students brought hula-hoops to promote exercise as an integrated lifestyle choice. Beaver Creek Community Action Team sponsored the free fair. Free hot dogs and popcorn were offered courtesy of the Beaver Creek Kiwanis.
