As friend of the Hopi tribe, Milo Billingsley spent years advocating for their right to preserve their ancient traditions, dances and religion. He made a series of films documenting their dances. The ‘lost’ film was given to the Verde Valley Archaeology Center in 2010 and has now been restored.

Archaeology Center: Restored 'lost' Hopi dance film to premiere in Sedona Sept. 27

In 1957, after two successful performances in Carnegie Hall, a group of Hopi dancers returned to Second Mesa and made a film of some of their dances and Hopi culture.
