Empty Mansions book signing in Clarkdale Bill Dedman, Pulitzer prize winning journalist, and Paul Clark Newell, Jr., a cousin of Huguette Clark, have written a just published book entitled Empty Mansions.  Empty Mansions is a rich mystery of wealth and loss, connecting the Gilded Age opulence of the 19th Century with a 21st Century battle over a $300 million inheritance.  At its heart is the reclusive heiress named Huguette Clark, the daughter of self-made copper industrialist W. A. Clark, founder of Clarkdale. The Clarkdale Historical Society will be hosting a book signing by the authors in the near future.  A limited number of books are now available for purchase at the Clarkdale Historical Society at 900 First North Street, Clarkdale, AZ; phone 928-649-1198
