Veterans Day: Coping with 'theater of war'

Camp Verde resident served 16 months in Iraq

Dan Lewis describes Iraq as a theater of war. "There's no greater adrenalin rush than being in a theater of combat," the Camp Verde resident says. "Adrenalin is a hell of a drug. It can keep you going for days."The Army taught Lewis how to defend his country. The Army did not teach Lewis how to handle survivor's guilt.
