Gallery: Shoot for Hope Basketball Game

The Beaver Creek Kiwanis Key Club sponsored Shoot for Hope, a benefit basketball game that raised money for the group's Relay For Life team on Friday, April 26, at the Beaver Creek School gym. The game brought together the 2009 state championship BC School basketball team, pitting them against a cobbled together group of schoolteachers, staff and members of the community. The game was close, with the BC champions barely edging out their older competitors and continuing their winning streak, 73 to 68. Proceeds from the basketball game will benefit adolescent cancer victims through the American Cancer Society. The high school Kiwanis Key Club students also sold refreshments at the game to raise funds.
