After Taylor Gabbard’s “famous” hunt, Apache headman Tonto Jack turned one of the buckskins into a gift to Gabbard. It is uncertain what all the symbolism on the skin means, but it was clearly intended as a way of saying thanks to Gabbard for the work he did to help reestablish the Yavapai and Apache in the Verde Valley.
