Changes at Tucson Greyhound Park, which no longer allows female dogs to race, have resulted in more greyhounds up for adoption. Verde Valley Greyhounds, which helps find homes for retired and injured greyhounds, is averaging about eight dogs a month and is in need of loving homes.

CAMP VERDE - Greyhounds are known affectionately as "40-mile-per-hour couch potatoes." That says it all.
