Gallery: Memorial Day Observance 2012

Windmill Park in Cornville was the site of the "All Gave Some - Some Gave All" Memorial Day Observance held on Saturday, May 26. The proceedings were hosted by the American Legion Post 135, Cornville, with Presentation of Colors by American Legion Post 93 from Camp Verde. Sedona Brownie Troop 717 led the Pledge of Allegiance before Pastor Don Sattler performed the Invocation. Guest Speaker Chip Davis spoke of his gratitude to those who lost their lives while serving the country and invited audience members Brian Yeoman and Roberta Stewart, whose husband Sgt. Patrick Stewart was killed in action in 2005, to also address those gathered. Bagpiper Michael Donelson, from Williams, stood at the edge of the Windmill Park pond, far away from the proceedings as a solemn reminder of those who gave their lives serving our country.
