To save money the Camp Verde Fire District opted to consolidate its operations in downtown Camp Verde last year, choosing to purchase and remodel an older building at a cost of less than $1 million instead of building a new fire station on property off Arena Del Loma for an estimated $2.4 million.

Camp Verde Fire District holds line on taxes, looks ahead

Ever since the first Camp Verde Fire District board was seated in November 2010, they have dealt with declining property values and an increase in calls for service.It doesn't make for a healthy situation, especially come budget time.
