Beaver Creek’s first farmer’s market opened on Wednesday evening. In spite of minimal offerings this week, organizer Bob Burke says it’s only a few baskets full of tomatoes and peppers away from becoming the busiest places in town this summer.

Any local gardener could tell you that June is a bit early to be looking for any fruits or vegetables that were grown within 50 miles of the Verde Valley.
