Editorial: Temporary tax could get capital improvement rolling
In 2010, Arizona voters took a chance and approved a "temporary" one-cent sales tax increase to boost funding for education. It raised around $2.7 billion. Then, in 2013, it did what proponents promised - it expired.

It was an example of how sunset clauses are supposed to work.
