CAMP VERDE - Until 3 p.m. on April 22, the Town of Camp Verde is accepting sealed bids for the construction of the new Camp Verde Community Library. And library director Kathy Hellman says she is happy the project is "moving forward."
"It's very exciting," Hellman says. "But everything we do here still moves forward. The thought that next year, our programs will be in the new library, I'm not sure that 's really hit us yet."
According to the Town's website, bids are to be based on the construction of an approximately 17,000-square-foot, two-story, steel frame building and related work as required. This project has been registered with the Green Building Certification Institute for possible approval of Silver LEED Certification.
Bids can be dropped off at the Town's Public Works Office, located at 395 S. Main St. Bid packets contain the complete announcement, proposed work, copies of detailed plans, specifications and proposal forms. Any contractor who would like to submit a proposal can register at www.publicpurchase.com. Bid packets are also available at Central Arizona Plan Exchange, located at 905 Cove Parkway #103, Cottonwood, or 403 N. Arizona Ave., Prescott, or at the A&E Reprographics Plan Room locations at 8101 E. Hwy. 69, Prescott Valley, 222 S. Montezuma St., Prescott or 1030 Sandretto Dr., Prescott.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held today at 1 p.m. in council chambers, located at 473 S. Main St.
