Smithsonian's Museum Day Live allows free entrance at Fort Verde, Jerome state parks on Sept. 28

In the spirit of Smithsonian Museums, which offer free admission everyday, Museum Day Live is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian Magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day Ticket for free.

Visitors who present the Museum Day Live ticket on Sept. 28 will gain free entrance for two at one of these Arizona State Parks: Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park (Superior), Fort Verde State Historic Park (Camp Verde), Homolovi State Park (Winslow), Jerome State Historic Park (Jerome) and Tubac Presidio State Historic Park (Tubac).

One ticket is permitted per household, per email address. Visit Smithsonian.com/museumday for more information or to see a list of other participating museums.

For information about the five state parks participating in this event and events going on in conjunction with this event, please visit AZStateParks.com. Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park is located on U.S. Highway 60, three miles west of historic Superior. Fort Verde State Historic Park is located at 125 E. Hollamon in downtown Camp Verde. Homolovi State Park is located five miles northeast of Winslow. Jerome State Historic Park is located in the town of Jerome, just off State Route 89A on Douglas Road at 100 Douglas Road. Tubac Presidio State Historic Park is located 45 miles south of Tucson on Interstate 19 at One Burruel Street in Tubac.
