Suicide and accidental deaths in Yavapai County

The Sept. 26 MATForce Lunch 'n Learn will present the facts, warning signs and prevention measures related to suicide and accidental deaths in Yavapai County.

Dr. Mark Fischione, Yavapai County Medical Examiner, will present current statistical data on accidental and intentional deaths, many of which are linked to substance abuse.

Julie Nave, MA, LPC, Director of Adult Clinical Operations for West Yavapai Guidance Clinic, will present information on the warning signs of suicides. This information is intended to help professionals and family members to be more informed on suicide prevention.

The presentation is intended for adult participants only; youth under 18 years of age will not be allowed to attend.

The Lunch 'n Learn will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Board of Supervisors Room, Yavapai County Administration Building, 1015 S. Fair St., Prescott and teleconferenced to the Yavapai County Cottonwood Annex, 10 S. Sixth St., Cottonwood. It is free and open to the public. Brown-bag lunches are welcome.

This is certainly important work. How about expanding on it and discuss the exact same issues of accidental and intentional death caused by firearms? Same problems, different methods.
