In separate incidents, two men are now in custody accused of trying to lure teenage girls for sex in Cottonwood.

On July 19, Kai Kellner, 30, of Cottonwood, was arrested in a Cottonwood parking lot and charged with aggravated luring a minor for sexual exploitation. He was booked at the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde and remains in custody on $50,000 bond.

According to the report from the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, Keller initiated online contact via a social networking site with a person he believed to be a teenage minor. He described specific sex acts he wanted to engage in with minor. In text chats, he mentioned having a recent sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.

He also allegedly sent pornographic images of himself on several occasions. On July 18, he suggested a meeting place in Cottonwood where they could have sex.

When Keller arrived, the YCSO was waiting for him. Keller alleged told the deputy he was glad he was arrested before he could hurt a young girl.

More recently, on Aug. 2, Ken Roberts, 60, of Tucson was arrested in Cottonwood on several charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation. He, too, was booked into jail in Camp Verde on a $50,000 bond and remains there.

According to YCSO, Roberts used the social network to initiate contact with a person he believed to be a teenage girl. Ongoing text messages included unsolicited images of his own genitalia and descriptions of sex acts he wanted to perform on the minor. He also sent a photo of his face along with photos of lingerie he bought and intended to have her model for him.

The report alleges that Roberts arranged to meet her in Cottonwood and take her to a local hotel. When Roberts arrived, deputies arrested him.
