Mikki Uszenski, a volunteer with the Camp Verde Senior Center Thrift Store, hangs pants Friday. The thrift store recently underwent a revamping, says Dianne LaBelle, president of the center.
CAMP VERDE - Eyeing better organization, the Camp Verde Senior Center recently finished revamping its multi-room thrift store. The center, located at 263 Maryvale Drive in Camp Verde, opens its thrift store from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The clothing is now sorted by gender and by color, which makes it easier to find, said Dianne LaBelle, president of the center. "The customers can now see what they are buying. And everything is on hangers.
According to LaBelle, volunteers spent more than two weeks reorganizing the store.
"You can see everything," said Carmen Whitten, a volunteer at the store for the past three years. "Everything is now in order.
"We cleaned out everything. We organized the clothing so you can find what you are looking for."
"We started in the back room and went through the whole store, organizing, coordinating and putting things where they belong," said Mikki Uszenski, a volunteer at the center for 14 years.
Uszenski says she is pleased with the reaction from the store's clientele.
"We get nothing but compliments when people come in," Uszenski said. "They say it looks good to them."
Sandy Franco of Camp Verde says she likes to shop at the thrift store.
"It's where I shop," she said. "This is the best [thrift store] to shop at. It has the best deals."
Though LaBelle is pleased with how the store now looks, she said the revamping is ongoing.
